DeepDelta Lab: Make Change (Δ) Happen!
We are DeepDelta Lab, a research group at School of Artificial Intelligence in Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The PI of DeepDelta Lab is Dr. Shaobo Cui.
We have four overarching goals:
- LLMs for Science (Medicine & Biology): Develop domain-specialized LLMs for medicine and biology, including multimodal biomedical modeling, literature-grounded reasoning, structure-aware learning for molecules and proteins, uncertainty quantification, and safe, decision-ready support for clinicians and scientists.
- Visual Intelligence: Build scalable visual and multimodal models for perception and reasoning. Topics include efficient pretraining and adaptation, instruction tuning, vision–language grounding, long-context video understanding, and safety evaluation.
- Alignment of Large Language Models: Build reliable, efficient, and steerable LLMs that can reason, plan, and collaborate. Focus particularly on the alignment stage of LLMs.
- Causal Intelligence: Equip models with causal representations to reason under uncertainty and generalize robustly.
